Our Story: From an Idea to an Essential Resource

It all started in 2018, when a group of young researchers and teachers noticed a common problem among students: difficulties in academic writing and in correctly managing sources. We decided to create an online space where anyone could learn how to research, cite, and evaluate information responsibly.

Our first guide, "Basics of APA Citation," published in 2019, was downloaded by over 10,000 users in the first year. This success confirmed to us that there was a real need and motivated us to develop the platform. We officially launched WikiPage.com in 2020, expanding our offering with video tutorials, paper templates, and a plagiarism checker tool.

In 2022, we reached an important milestone: over 50,000 monthly active users, mostly pupils and students from Romania and the Republic of Moldova. We expanded the team with specialists in library science and journalism, to also cover aspects related to news verification and information literacy.

Today, WikiPage is recognized as a trusted platform for academic education. We are proud of our partnerships with universities and libraries and of our ongoing mission: to share knowledge that builds critical thinking and intellectual integrity.
